What decision-making, ethical and technical issues does a filmmaker wrestle with when creating a film about some of history's darkest moments? Join us for compelling and revealing panel discussion with selected clips and audience Q&A. Scheduled guests: Rick Allen, Nanking; Erik Nelson, producer of Hitler's Hidden Holocaust; and Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine, producers of War Dance. Program followed by reception with light hors d'oeuvres. Presented by CINE, Women in Film and Video-DC and the Washington Jewish Film Festival. $15 general admission; $10 for WIFV and DCJCC members and in conjunction with ticket purchased to CINE's 2010 Annual Awards Gala.

In conjunction with our 2010 Awards Gala, we're bringing back CINE's popular "5 on 5 for 5" pitch session! On June 3, 2010 at Discovery Communications, we'll give 5 selected filmmakers the opportunity to make a 5 minute pitch to 5 industry pros. Submit your proposal by May 14 for your opportunity to pitch! CINE judges will select 5 filmmakers to participate in the pitch session, and the winner will receive an interview with a network development executive. $10 per person. 12:30-1:15 Lunch Break.

Whether new media content is your goal or an additional marketing avenue for a more traditional production, you don't want to miss this panel discussion.
The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has its finger on the pulse of new media and wants to share its knowledge with the people who need it most: new media producers. In conjunction with 2010 Annual CINE Awards Gala, Chubb will host an interactive panel on June 3 at 1:30 pm at Discovery Communications to help producers navigate the terrain of new media.
