Why do you think film (or television, or new media) is important?
People have been telling stories to each other about things that did or didn't happen since we were cavemen. We need entertainment and news like we need food.
Why do you think CINE is important?
I like that Cine recognizes excellence in established filmmakers and producers, but also really tries to identify the unknown filmmakers who are doing exceptional work.
What advice would you give someone starting out in the industry today?
I would tell them to keep watching TV and movies, and find a mentor. Find a great director, or production company who you admire and use your twenties to learn and work hard.
